It's... a girl! Her name is Krishna.
And baby makes... two. This is the first child for the Top Chef host, who has had a long public struggle with endometriosis, a reproductive condition that can lead to infertility.
Birth Announcement: "Mother and baby are well and happy," her rep told People about Krishna, who was born in New York City. (Father is venture capitalist Adam Dell.) Lakshmi had dropped hints about her little girl's moniker at an event in January. "I am going to name the child an Indian name," she said. "It will be after someone in my family, so don't expect to see an Anglicized name -- it will be a classically Indian Sanskrit name."
