When Top Chef host Padma Lakshmi became pregnant with her first child, the single mom remained mum about the father -- but the baby's dad, venture capitalist Adam Dell, isn't the quiet type. In January 2010, Dell came out of the woodwork to demand sole custody of his 11-month-old daughter Krishna (pictured in November). Dell (pictured in 2006), who was granted visitation rights (and had his identity revealed) after the baby's birth, reported that Lakshmi was preventing him from seeing his daughter. His custody petition also expressed concern that Lakshmi's jet-setting lifestyle -- specifically, her "career as a television personality and her commitment to celebrity status" -- was not suitable for raising an infant. Lakshmi claims she had no idea that Dell was filing for custody until she read about it in the New York Post, and has expressed her desire to work out a private settlement.
