Paint Good Enough to Eat

Pregnant moms no longer have to miss out on the fun of painting the nursery for fear of inhaling the harmful fumes given off by most commercial paints. The Old Fashioned Milk Paint Company uses a paint formula that dates back to the 19th century, when homemade paint was stirred up using a recipe of buttermilk and crushed limestone. The company's new line, SafePaint, is specially formulated for walls and other nonporous surfaces. Made from food- and pharmaceutical-grade ingredients, it contains no synthetic petroleum or plastics, it's biodegradable, and it will not give off VOCs (Volatile Organic Compounds). So go ahead and pick up that paintbrush -- both you and baby will breathe easier.
