The 27-year-old royal has been known for his partying ways for a while now, but his notoriety was taken to the next level when photos of him partying naked in a Las Vegas VIP suite popped up in tabloids last week. A Palace source is telling People that the royals are choosing to defend their "Party Prince."
"He didn't do anything unlawful," the source says. "What he did was entirely his own business."
Meanwhile former head of royal protection services Dai Davies tells People that "Harry is a big boy now. He knows the rules."
However, the royal family might not be so quick to defend Harry if Radar Online's newest report turns out to be true. The outlet has a source who's claiming that illegal drugs such as cocaine, mushrooms and marijuana were being used at the party. Though the source admits they did not see the royal prince using any.
"Things got pretty crazy in Prince Harry's suite that night. Everyone was drinking and drugs were also being used by some people," the anonymous eye witness says. “Some were already rolling on shrooms when they arrived at the party, and some were just high on weed. And that's exactly why no one there has come forward on the record...they don't want to be implicated for any illegal activities."
Then there's also the report that "something pretty gigantic" happened during Harry's stay in Vegas that could get him in a whole lot of trouble. (And there we were thinking an innocent game of strip billiards was scandolous!)
Us Weekly has spoken to some women who were allegedly present at the wild Vegas party and have dished on all the gory details.
"[Harry] had two things in his sights: vodka and women," Melissa Vagner tells Us.
"He was naked for a long time at the party," another anonymous female partier says. "He didn't seem to care what he did."
Don't expect Harry to hide in shame in light of this recent scandal, though. He is set to attend the Paralympics on Aug. 31 and will appear at the WellChild Awards ceremony on Sept. 3.
