Brad and Angie had long said they wouldn't get hitched until everyone in the country could get married lawfully. But when the kids bugged them to make things official, they relented and are now officially engaged. "We're getting a lot of pressure from the kids," Brad told E! News last year. "We didn't realize how much it meant to them and then, in getting engaged, how much it also means to us."

What the experts say: "It's always good to take a step back and look at the big picture," says Brown. "Showing your kids that you are human and you make mistakes is okay. And, as a role model, you want your kids to know it is better to say 'I was wrong' than to stand firm to something just to be standing firm."
