We Love the ’80s (and So Do Your Kids!) Don’t be surprised if your big kid wants to raid your closet for any leftover off-the-shoulder sweatshirts, Wayfarers or neon tank tops (or shirts or socks or Jams) that you rocked 20-plus years ago. “The next trend (in kid’s fashion) is '80s, '80s, '80s,” says Jane Wagman, co-founder of shopafrolic.com and mom of two. “Expect to see girls in neon T’s, leather jackets, blazers with rolled up sleeves, boots with fringe and Ray Bans in bright new colors.” And don’t think the trend is passing boys by. “Boys will continue to be all about the Justin Bieber haircut,” says Wagman, “and they’ll look like '80s rockers in a pair of Converse, a rocker T-shirt and skinny jeans.” Rad!
