Paris Hilton's Crime and Punishment

No, we don't have that video. Saturday's Dateline at 8pm features a report on the "good" Paris Hilton, the one who tried to help cops with the investigation of a buglary of 'Girls Gone Wild' founder Joe Francis. At least, we think she tried to help. In the audio tapes, she claims not to remember details and claims, "I'm not that smart." Oh, sometimes it's just too easy...Let's just say that we applaud Paris for stepping forward, even though you can hear on the clip that she wasn't exactly a voluntary witness. And we'll just add that no good deed goes unpunished.

Also on the Dateline on Friday night at 9pm, new installments from the hidden-camera investigations of Chris Hansen for his To Catch a Predator series. The clips are creepy, creepy, creepy. In the second installment you get to watch Chris confront the offender, then watch the cops take him down. Then in the third part, you get to see what happens when fame works for Chris Hansen -- the offender actually knows who he is from the beginning and lets himself get caught anyway. If that's not enough evidence to keep close watch of your kids when they go on the Internet, we don't know what else could convince you.
