Paris Jackson's Speech Was "Not Planned"

Paris Jackson's words were genuine.

Not that you could have really thought differently. When the 11-year-old daughter of Michael Jackson took to the microphone at Tuesday's memorial, the little girl's display of grief was as real as real could be.

Her appearance "was not planned," Ken Ehrlich, producer of the tribute, told CNN. "A lot of the show was not scripted. Music was laid out, but most of the speakers really spoke from their heart - people who knew Michael well - and I think that's what gave the show its heart."

In the most memorable moment from the two-hour ceremony, Paris stepped up to the mic and told the crowd through tears, "Ever since I was born, Daddy has been the best father you could ever imagine. And I just want to say that I love him so much."

Ken also said that the Jacksons were adamant that the memorial wasn't intended to entertain. "We don't want to do a TV show," they family said. We want to do a memorial service."
