VIDEO: Paul Rudd Jokes: At 40, You're Just One Day Closer to Death

The This Is 40 actor and costar Leslie Mann get brutally honest about the worst parts of aging. (Yikes!)

Funnyman Paul Rudd usually leaves us in stitches -- and his role in the new comedy This Is 40 (in theaters Dec. 21) definitely delivers the laughs. So, why is his outlook on aging so downright depressing?

"In the grand scheme of things, it's just another day closer to death," he tells iVillage jokingly. (We hope!) "You think about your own mortality in a different kind of way. I feel like there's an enthusiam and an optimism that I just don't have anymore -- and I miss. Now, if you'll excuse me, I'm just going to go jump out of a window!"

At least his hilarious costar Leslie Mann has the right approach: "The best thing [about turning 40] is that my memory is not as good, so I forget about things that bother me," she says. "The worst thing is that my memory isn't very good..."

Watch our exclusive iVillage video interview to find out how Rudd is different now than his parents were at his age and why Mann is totally fine with getting older.
