Didn't we all imagine Paula Abdul throwing bottles in her house the minute she found out that Ellen DeGeneres would be replacing her on the new season of American Idol?

Well, we don't know what she did in the privacy of her own home, but she's not letting her disappointment, if any, show. Taking the news like a champ, Paula tweeted that she had nothing but love for the talk show host.

"I think Ellen will b a gr8 judge on Idol. She is wildly funny, talented and I wish her the best of luck!"she wrote.

Fellow judge Kara DioGuardi is also singing Ellen's praises.

"I'm a huge Ellen DeGeneres fan," the former newbie says in a radio interview airing Friday with Sirius XM’s Larry Flick. "I think she's going to bring so much to the show. She's somebody who loves music. She's positive. She loves kids. She's somebody who has watched the show from the beginning, knows everything there is to know about American Idol. And I think ultimately it's going to be a great new energy."

"I want to get her email to say congratulations," Kara says. "I'm so excited to hang out with her … I would say this is great and let her know I am completely ecstatic."

There is so much hype now surrounding Ellen's new gig – is it possible that it's not going to be as great as everyone seems to think?
