Paula Abdul's negotiations to possibly host the rejuvenated talent show Star Search are a done deal -- and not in a good way.
Sources say that just days after word got out that the former American Idol judge was a shoo-in to host the updated version of the '80s talent-finder, negotiations with ABC have fallen through. It seems that the talks were down to the wire and a deadline to close the deal was made, but when push came to shove, nobody pulled the trigger.
According to E! Online, ABC still may want to get Star Search back on the air, but, if they do, it may have to be without Abdul.
