Pavement Painting

From: Let The Children Play

Why We Love It: This activity offers a great excuse to go outside and burn some energy, and lets your kids express their creativity on a large-scale canvas -- without all the mess! Mixing the colors together gives you a chance to sneak in some learning, and wee ones love to play in the rain.

What You'll Need: Rain, food coloring, small cups or pots, chunky paintbrushes, sidewalks and/or a driveway

How to Do It: Make your "paint" by mixing ordinary food coloring with water, or you can use the dregs of your paint jars -- just add water and stir. Grab some paintbrushes, hit the sidewalks and let your kids channel their inner Jackson Pollock.
