|2 cups granulated sugar||1/2 teaspoon salt|
|1 cup of agave syrup||2 tablespoons unsalted butter|
|1 cup water||1/4 teaspoon baking soda|
|2 cups raw peanuts||1 teaspoon vanilla extract|
Pour the sugar, agave syrup and water into a heavy saucepan. Cook on until the sugar has dissolved.
Using a candy thermometer, cook the sugar mixture until it reaches 238 degrees F.
Add the peanuts and salt. Continue to cook until the mixture reaches 300 degrees F.
Remove from the heat and stir in the rest of the ingredients.
Pour into a buttered 9-inch by 13-inch baking pan and allow to cool.
When completely cool, crack into irregular-shaped pieces and store in an airtight container.
