Pelvic Pressure During Pregnancy: Is There Any Relief?

Because you are feeling so much pressure, it is probable that your baby's head is engaged. If this is your first baby, this is a good sign. If this is not your first baby, it is unusual for engagement to occur so soon but not necessarily abnormal.
The discomfort can sometimes be relieved by relaxing with your hips elevated on pillows, or any position where your shoulders are lower than your hips. There is not a lot you can do when walking or going about your daily activities.
Some women get some relief from maneuvering their babies manually, shifting them from one side to another. Sometimes a sling anchored around your shoulders, supporting the lower abdomen is helpful, but sometimes there is not much you can do to increase your comfort.
