We were delighted by the news that gorgeous twosome Penelope Cruz and Javier Bardem quietly tied the knot earlier this month. But the wedding confirmation immediately had some skeptics wondering whether Cruz may have a baby on board.
So, did Cruz and Bardem have a shotgun wedding?
Nope, says a rep for the actress. Cruz is concentrating her career, as she is currently filming Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides with Johnny Depp, where she will be playing Angelica, daughter of high seas villain Blackbeard.
"It's not exactly the kind of movie you want to be doing if you're pregnant," a source said of the action-packed, stunt-filled flick.
The film is set for release in May 2011 -- then maybe the happy couple will think about sharing their beautiful genes and starting a family.
