The 34th Annual People's Choice Awards, hosted by queen Latifah, aired Tuesday, January 8 at 9 p.m. on CBS. As the first award show of 2008, it honors fan favorites in television, movies and music.
This year, due to the writers' strike—which caused SAG members to not cross picket lines, thus not attending the event—the show will feature taped acceptance speeches from the winners, as well as the stars' answers to fan questions.
