Perfect Timing

The yummiest (and brightest) watch for spring

I haven't worn a watch since junior high, and I always envisioned when I started wearing one again I'd get something vintage-y, oversize and in a neutral shade so I could wear it with everything. But then I stumbled upon some eye-popping, bold-colored watches -- in hues like hot pink, sunny yellow, forest green -- and everything changed. I realized that I am not an every day watch wearer -- never have been and never will be. A watch can be treated like a piece of jewelry that you only break out when the occasion calls for it (or when it matches), especially since you can't look at any computer, DVD player, or cell phone without knowing what time it is, and that is what I plan on doing.

My top pick: this blue-and-yellow Swiss Legend Watch from the Neptune Collection ($197.50 at Not only do I love the eye-candy color combination, it's also 50 percent off!
