Oh, to be glamorous, fabulous and lazy. That's how we'd describe the photo Mariah Carey posted on Twitter earlier this week, as she relaxed in the pool with her 15-month-old daughter Monroe.

"As per your request, me & ms. Monroe on a lazy day," Carey writes.

Now, we will never be confused with a mega-star with an $18 million one-year American Idol contract, but, still, this is sooo not what a day at the pool with the kiddos looks like in our universe. In Mariahland, 42-year-old moms are toned and tan, clad in sexy bikinis, pretty white caftan cover-ups and stylish straw hats, while the little one splashes in a canopied Baby Float raft thingie.

Here in regular mommyland, 40-something moms with self-tanner streaks squeeze into last year's Spanx tankini (slightly saggy from so much wear) and Target sunglasses (the kids will lose them, anyway), wondering if anyone notices we haven't had time to shave in a few days, while we yell at the kids to ease up on the cannonballs (people are starting to glare) and to quit fighting us as we attempt to spray them down with sunscreen.

But we're not bitter. More power to you, Mariah. We're aspiring to emulate your pool look -- we'll just need to leave the children at home.
