Pippa Middleton isn't British royalty like her sister Kate Middleton, a.k.a. the Duchess of Cambridge -- but she is a party-planning queen. And soon Pippa will also be a published author, having inked an extremely lucrative book deal with the U.K. branch of Penguin.
But if you're expecting 28-year-old Pippa to pen a memoir about growing up with Kate, you might be a tad disappointed. The younger Middleton sister's first book will indeed tell all... but the scoop will be on how to plan a kicking party. Appropriately titled How to Be the Perfect Party Hostess, the book will include recipes and pointers, and every chapter will be started with an anecdote.
U.K. newspaper The Daily Mail is reporting that Middleton will earn upwards of £400,000 (equivalent to around $623,000) for the book. A friend tells the paper that Pippa plans on writing the tome herself without the help of a ghost writer, and has been setting aside several hours during the day to work on new chapters.
Middleton currently works as a party planner for London-based company Table Talk, and also writes and edits the newsletter for Party Pieces, her family's super-successful party-supply company. Proving that she's as considerate as she is beauitufil, Pippa made sure to get approval from her family -- and the royal family -- before agreeing to write the book.
How to Be the Perfect Party Hostess will likely be released next summer after the Queen's Diamond Jubilee celebration.
