A Place for Everything

The blogger: Sarah Goldschadt, SAH-RAH, author of Craft-a-Day

The space: Sarah’s fifth floor Hell’s Kitchen walkup in Manhattan, New York is also her craft studio. Influenced by her Scandinavian roots, the look is fairly minimal with pops of color. Her love of sewing, knitting, crochet, paper crafts, and making owls means her craft supplies need always be close at hand. An Ikea storage shelf filled with Container Store clear shoeboxes is the perfect storage accessory for keeping supplies in check. Another favorite organizer is a simple pegboard from Lowes. “I use my Grandpa's old pegboard hooks,” says Sarah. “Those means a lot to me as he was my neighbor growing up in Minnesota, and was always making things out of wood or coming up with inventive games. I think he passed on the best advice: ‘Be good. Have fun. Get it done.’”
