'Playing for Keeps' (Dec. 7)

Short Story:
For George Dryer (Gerard Butler), the glory days of international soccer stardom are over. Now, it's back to Virginia to help ex-wife Stacie (Jessica Biel) raise their son, which includes a stint coaching the boy's soccer team. But when certain desperate soccer moms (including Uma Thurman and Catherine Zeta-Jones) start coming on to George for his rugged good looks, George's priorities get a little mixed up. (We can't say we blame those ladies, though!)

What They're Saying:
"This is a good premise for a comedy, but somewhere along the way, it got diluted and turned into a sappy, feel-good story of family togetherness." -- The Hollywood Reporter

Good for Kids?
Playing for Keeps has a PG-13 rating for sexual situations and language, which Common Sense Media says makes the film "more suitable for older kids than the littlest soccer fans."
