One of the greatest a-ha moments of my life? Finding the the right-fitting bra. As Oprah and Tyra have taught us, nothing feels more satisfying than giving your girls a proper home. But even after all that TV education, "eighty-five percent of all women are wearing the wrong size bra," Susan Nethero, founder of the lingerie store Intimacy, recently told Extra TV. Tsk, tsk ladies!
Well, thanks to technology, you might be able to avoid that awkward, touchy-feely moment with a random saleswoman in the dressing room. Developer Digital Relations has released Fits -- an iPhone, iPod Touch and iPad application designed to help you determine your correct bra size ($0.99 on iTunes).
Here's how it works: First, pick an image (either take a new photo of yourself or use an existing one). FYI: It shouldn't be naked! Select a frontal photo only or combine it with a profile pic for more accuracy. Adjust your body and bra position, aligning with the app’s preloaded silhouettes. Enter your height and calculate. (You can also include your real measurements for better results.)
But does it really work? An iPhone-addicted friend put the new app to a test and reported an 0-3 score, after using three different photos. (She wears a 36C, but the software said she is a 40AA or 42F!) Hmm, maybe you shouldn't throw away that tape measure just yet...
Have you had a bra fitting lately? Chime in now!
