If you have a specialty candy store in your area, you may find gold M&Ms, which are just the thing for filling these cupcake pots. Even if you use yellow ones instead, kids wil be thrilled to discover what’s at the end of this particular rainbow.

| 1 cupcake | green food coloring | |
| chocolate frosting | rainbow sour strips | |
| vanilla frosting | gold or yellow M&Ms |
Frost half of the cupcake with vanilla and the other half with chocolate frosting.
Tint a bit of the remaining vanilla frosting with green food coloring, and spoon it into a small Ziploc bag. Cut off the tip of one corner and pipe a thick line of green frosting where the chocolate and vanilla meet.
Cut a length of sour strip about 5 inches long. Use scissors to snip little triangles all along one side, allowing the strip to bend sideways in a half circle while still lying smooth. Lay the strip in a semi-circle around the outer edge of the vanilla frosting, pressing it into the frosting but still protruding over the edge.
Fill in the white-frosted area with M&Ms, right up to and overlapping with the sour-strip rainbow.
