Month 3 (Weeks 9-12)

-- Start to consider how and when you’ll tell your family and friends the news in a few weeks. Check out these creative ways to announce it.

-- Make a plan to tell your boss as soon as you get the results of your nuchal screening test.

-- Whether it’ll be full-time or part-time, daycare or in-home, it’s not too early to start thinking about childcare. Do you need to get on a daycare list somewhere? Start talking to friends about nanny reconmendations?

-- Pre-register at the hospital and get that paperwork out of the way.

-- Thinking about baby gear already? Read up on baby gear and put a few things on a registry or wish list.

-- Make an appointment at the dentist, since gum disease ups your chance of premature birth. Pregnancy also increases plaque and bacteria in your mouth, so make a plan to floss every day (if you don’t already). Read about more body changes during pregnancy.
