I still don’t have a clue what to call this baby. We’re set on a name, but only if it’s a boy. If it’s a girl we’re completely deadlocked and Jacob won’t even act as a tiebreaker. He thinks it should be called "baby" either way. We didn’t know Jacob’s sex prior to birth either. Somewhere along the line I referred to him as Muchkin and it just stuck. He still gets called that upon occasion. It didn’t seem right to reuse the name for this one, so I’ve been struggling with an interim name as well. Fortunately, Jacob finally cast a vote along those lines -- Pumpkin. So there you go. I promised I’d disclose a name, and I have. For the next several weeks the baby shall be called Pumpkin. Somewhere along the way I do realize that Rob and I either need to hope it’s another boy or really put some thought into a girl’s name that we all like!
So that’s the week in a nutshell. Aside from being somewhat frustrated by the neverending movement, while at the same time cherishing each and every little stretch, it’s been a pretty tame few days. Although it seems like it is years away, we’re one week closer to the final date. I keep reminding myself that it is only a matter of a few weeks left. There is so much to be done, so much I’d like to do with and for Jacob before the baby arrives, and so much to do around the house to ready it for the arrival of such a small family member. I guess it’s time to really get to work, that is as quickly as I can given my increasing girth.
