Jewel is crediting the makers of her car for keeping her safe, after the pregnant singer was involved in a scary car crash.
The mom-to-be, 36, was hit by a fire truck in Texas on Friday morning. Fortunately, after a short stay in a local hospital, Jewel and her unborn son are doing fine and the singer is thanking Cadillac for her good condition.
"(One) thing I do know is my car saved my & my baby's life," she twittered Saturday. "Definitely going 2 get another Cadillac SRX! It absorbed all the damage & kept me safe!"
After her car was hit on the passenger side, Jewel was taken to the hospital where doctors performed tests on her and the baby. Now, she's under strict instructions to rest and relax.
"Dr said no working out," she wrote. "So I'm just going to take it easy this weekend. Just a little sore and banged up – but feeling so blessed this morning."
Jewel and hubby Ty Murray announced in January that they were expecting. The couple had been very vocal about their struggle to conceive, revealing that it took them two years.
"I have always been a workaholic," the singer admitted, "So I had to learn how to slow down and take care of myself in a different way."
