We really wanted to believe Kim Kardashian when she said that certain things were off-limits for TV -- like her baby. Back in February, Kim told DuJour magazine that she wouldn't allow any "baby stuff" to appear on Season 8 of Keeping Up with the Kardashians. Well, the new season premiered last night, and followed Kim straight into her OB-GYN's office. (Watch the clip here.) The good news: Kim is having a girl! The bad news: Kim has zero boundaries. And the baby's father, Kanye West, doesn't seem too happy about it. He hasn't made a statement or anything, but sometimes, actions speak louder than words.
For example: We couldn't help but notice that Kim didn't bring Kanye to the big doctor's appointment, though she did bring her mother Kris, her sisters Kourtney and Khloe, and an E! camera crew. Now, it's possible that Kanye was on tour, or had some other pressing engagement -- but this is a guy who flew into New York City for one night to go to the Met Ball. So you'd think this would be at least as much of a priority, right?
Here's another one: Three days ago, the Kardashians released a promotional family photo for the eighth season of their show. Do to scheduling conflicts, Khloe and Lamar Odom were photoshopped into the portrait. But not Kanye. According to an In Touch source, the rapper "wants nothing to with ... the Kardashian brand."
This brings us back to Kanye's epic rant last month about how he's "not a celebrity" and hates publicity stunts. The sentiment seemed odd coming from someone who's starting a family with Kim Kardashian, a woman who has frequently described her reality show as "my life." We assumed they'd struck some kind of agreement about how much Kim would reveal on TV, and how much Kanye would appear on the show. Apparently not.
Even more discouraging: It seems that Kanye may not have been around so much in the first place. Kim's stepfather Bruce Jenner recently told Extra that he has only met her boyfriend once. "He's never ... he's not around," said Jenner. "He was in Paris the whole time writing, and he just hasn't been around."
At the same event, Kim's stepbrother Brody Jenner said that he had never met Kanye, quickly adding, "But Kim says great things about him. And so does the entire family." Hmmm.
Is Kanye just camera shy? Or has he been re-thinking this whole relationship? If Kimye is in trouble, then Team Kardashian is doing their best to gloss over it. In an interview with MTV News earlier this week (watch below), Khloe said that Kim and Kanye made a "mutual" decision about "what they want to have on the show." Notice that it was Khloe answering the question, though, and not Kim. Or Kanye, for that matter.

Regardless of whether Kanye is on board, the Kardashians are treating Kim's pregnancy with their usual amount of TMI. On Sunday, family members spent the day Instagramming photos from Kim's extravagant, garden-goddess-themed baby shower. The Keeping Up camera crew was there, too, along with paparazzi -- who caught Kanye ducking into the event, a hoodie pulled over his entire face.
