We don't write about every single celeb who announces she's pregnant. (We leave that to iVillage Entertainment.) But we had to say how happy we are for British singer Lily Allen, who's expecting with boyfriend Sam Cooper. It's not only because Allen went through a miscarriage 2 1/2 years ago, it's also because her comments about imminent parenthood are completely refreshing.
She recently said, "The idea of settling down and having children... is ultimately my main goal in life and more of a priority than flying around the world jumping up and down on stage singing songs."
While many young female stars are getting sent to jail for DUIs (not mentioning any names), or seem to let their fleet of nannies and baby nurses do all of the child-rearing, it's nice to hear that at least one of them wants to put family first.
