Photo: See Pregnant Snooki Trip in High Heels! Seriously -- It's Time for Some Flats!

Snooki, you're not going to like hearing this, girl, but it's time to swap your sky-high heels for slippers.

The "Jersey Shore" star and soon-to-be-mom is known for elongating her petite frame with crazy-high shoes, but after she was snapped last week stumbling in platform sandals while strolling in Seaside Heights, N.J., well, we hate to tell our favorite guidette we told you so, but Snooki, babe? We, like, totally told you so.

Actually, Snooki already told herself so, too.

"I'm hoping to make it all the way through my pregnancy with heels," she told iVillage recently. "But, um, you know, as long as it doesn't hurt I'm going to keep doing it. It definitely doesn't hurt, ya, I'm not swollen in my feet. But you know, once I start getting swollen… and you know, it's very difficult to walk in heels, you know I'm not going to wear them. I'll just wear slippers." (Watch the video below.)

This isn't the first time, either. A few weeks ago, Snooki was caught nearly taking a tumble in five-inch-high lace-up boots. But here's the thing: Walking around during your third trimester of pregnancy is hard enough when you're in sneakers. Heck, it's hard enough when you're barefoot. So, even if the chance of doing damage to your baby at that point is minimal, why risk turning your ankle or tearing a ligament (which are looser during pregnancy thanks to hormones) and adding crutches -- or even a cast -- into the equation?

Don't trust us? The American Congress of Obstetricians and Gynecologists advises pregnant women wear low-heeled shoes with good arch support, as high heels can cause strain on back muscles, as well. (Just ask Victoria Beckham.)

So, maybe you could listen to the docs, rather than follow all the other crazy celebs and pack up the platforms. Besides, Snooki, you already sell slippers. Wearing them now just seems like an obvious marketing strategy to us.
