Prepared formula: how long can it be kept?
I have a four-month-old baby on formula. How far in advance can you make formula and what are the guidelines about when to discard it?

Formula can be safely made in a batch to last a day. Immediately refrigerate any formula not meant for immediate feeding in a refrigerator that is kept between 35 and 40 degrees F. Basically, keep as cool as possible without freezing. All prepared formula should be used within 48 hours of preparation.
