Only time will tell whether it was Barack Obama or Mitt Romney who walked away the winner of last night's presidential debate, but one thing's for sure: People have a lot to say about the candidates' performances!
Hollywood's elite definitely weren't shy about sharing their opinions with their Twitter followers as they watched the political battle unfold. As expected, most celebrities seemed to be backing President Obama, but there were a few (Donald and Ivanka Trump!) swinging from the right. And, of course, there were also those who just wanted to make silly comments instead of take a real stance.
Here's a list of some of the other best tweets from around Tinseltown:
Eva Longoria: "I'm in New Zealand watching the presidential debate! Obama is killing it on health care! #Obama2012."
Olivia Wilde: "Mitt is smirky, sweaty, indignant and smug with an unsettling hint of hysteria. And he wants to kill BIG BIRD."
Donald Trump: Congratulations to Mitt Romney. He was not only good, he was absolutely fantastic tonight!
Bob Saget: "I'm really enjoying these debates. I can't wait til they have the swimsuit competition."
John Cusack: "Watching the debates -- it's so strange the president seems almost apologetic about his policies that help people and didn't call out Romney."
Kathy Griffin: "Aww s---. Romney did the Nixon upper lip wipe. I think his "I'm taking away Big Bird" statement just sunk in."
Kirstie Alley: "Not usually this politically general... but debate was lack luster at best... Bill Clinton.. show em how it's done!!!"
Lady Gaga: "I believe its important to note before this begins that Romney is a millionaire and paid well below the average tax rate, paying only 13.9%."
Chris Rock: "Obama is waiting for the right moment to pull out Bin Laden's skull from behind the podium. Wait for it. Wait for it... #debate#PresDebate."
Samuel L. Jackson: “What future generations is Mitt the guardian of?! I think dude just wants to add Leader Of The Free World to his resume’!”
Conan O'Brien: "Romney prepped for tonight’s debate by debating with a man whose views differ radically from his own: himself from 8 years ago"
Tracy Morgan: “Obama Said EDUCATION… Romney Keeps Saying JOBS… Who Wants A Job? I Don’t… I Want A CAREER… Which Involves EDUCATION.”
Alec Baldwin: “Obama is a potentially great man who remains mildly uncomfortable in public life. Mitt is a gifted off-shore money tycoon and tax preparer.”
Ivanka Trump: "#Romney really rose to the occasion tonight!"
