Wait, Press-On Nails Are a Trend Now? The Most Unlikely Manicure Look From New York Fashion Week

Fashion week might be sending models down the runway with time-saving manis...but would you press & go?

It's probably not a beauty trend you'd expect to see come out of New York Fashion Week, but manicurists have spoken, and they seem to be saying: Get thee to a drugstore for some white press-on nails.

The Huffington Post rounds up a handful of surprisingly sleek iterations of the press-and-go mani, which is popping up everywhere from Kate Spade to Kye. The idea behind the trend is actually pretty practical: Prepping models behind the scenes at fashion shows requires a rapid-fire pace that makes ornate nails difficult to execute, so manicurists keep things moving by decorating hundreds of press-ons beforehand. Their choice of a white base, though, makes the look so totally wearable that you might just be able to pull it off in the office. Work-appropriate nail art that's also a time-saver? Now, that's something we can get behind.
