Each advisory board member will blog regularly for iVillage Cares on issues of importance to women and provide "featured" organizations for women to get involved with. Benita Fitzgerald Mosley, a former Olympic Gold medalist who has lobbied for compliance with Title IX, a law that provides millions of sports and educational opportunities for women and girls, offers the Women's Sports Foundation at www.womenssportsfoundation.org as a resource. Rhoda Glickman, a longtime advocate for providing International women in need with the job skills and training required to rebuild their lives, suggests Women For Women International at www.womenforwomen.org as a resource for helping women in war-torn countries get back on their feet. And Carlotta Jacobson, CEO of Cosmetic Executive Women, started www.CancerandCareers.org after five powerful women in the beauty business came to her with concerns about their own cancer diagnoses and how they could maintain their careers and receive treatment simultaneously.

"There is no more potent force than networks of women sharing common concerns and causes. iVillage Cares offers a place where we can network on behalf of causes dear to us. And on this, I value the opportunity to highlight the good work of the American Cancer Society which I support for its work in research, education and patient advocacy," said Dr. Bernadine Healy, M.D., health editor and columnist at U.S.News & World Report and author of Living Time: Faith and Facts to Transform Your Cancer Journey.
