"I'm thrilled to join a company with the substance, heritage and growth potential of iVillage," said Gutkowski. "I'm looking forward to building on the brand's many recent successes and momentum and helping execute a growth strategy that will take us to the next level."
Gutkowski spent a combined 14 years with Martha Stewart Living Omnimed ia, most recently as Vice President/General Manager for the Internet division. In this role, he drove the strategic transition of the internet business from an ecommerce-centric experience to a robust advertising-based lifestyle portal. During his tenure at MSLO, Gutkowski served in various digital leadership roles, including Vice President, Internet Marketing & Business Development, Vice President, Internet Business Development & Operations, and Marketing Development Director. Gutkowski was recognized for his innovation and creativity when marthastewart.com won Adweek's "Best Branded" website award.
From 2002-2004, Gutkowski left MSLO briefly to serve as Vice President, Marketing and e-Commerce for Newport News, Inc., leading the multi-channel retailer's marketing and internet operations, before returning to MSLO to lead its Internet Division.
Gutkowski's hire comes on the heels of iVillage's new SVP, Editor In Chief joining the leadership team in May 2007. Jennie Baird took on the lead editorial role for iVillage's lifestyle content after overseeing AOL's women's and lifestyle programming for five years.
