NEW YORK - October 1, 2007 - iVillage Inc., the first and largest community of women online, announced today the Walk On, Rock On to a New You Community Challenge (http://diet.ivillage.com/workouts/wwalk/0,,bz5j0gbl,00.html), set to kick off on October 1, 2007. The six-week walking program is the easiest of exercise plans: all it takes is a good pair of sneakers.

Designed to whip participants into shape fast, the Walk On, Rock On Community Challenge provides interactive support for, literally, every step. Founder of the In Home Walking Fitness Program and walking expert, Leslie Sansone, will show challenge takers how to strut their way to better health with daily activity assignments, tips and advice delivered in an interactive calendar at http://diet.ivillage.com/workouts/wwalk/0,,c456c4m7,00.html.

From the mall to city streets, the program's walk-anywhere itineraries will show participants how to fit in more steps no matter where they walk. The Walk On, Rock On message board invites participants to chat with their coach, share experiences and progress with fellow challengers and find walking groups and buddies in their area.

As an added incentive, iVillage Total Health is partnering with Podfitness.com, the industry leader in truly customized online personal training. Each participant will receive free customized audio workouts, designed just for them by top trainers, that mix with the user's own music and can be played on their iPod ? or other MP3 players. Podfitness trainers will also be available on the Walk On, Rock On message board to offer tips and weight-loss advice.

"More than 38,000 walkers have signed up to take the Challenge, bringing together women from all over the country that want to get in shape but don't want to go it alone," said Carla Wojnaroski, Editor-in-Chief, iVillage Total Health. "Walk On, Rock On is an easy and engaging way to get moving . We look forward to following participants' progress and hearing their success stories as they reach their fitness goals."
