The Problem: Dark Circles

A lack of sleep isn't to blame for the dark circles under your eyes. Sun damage, allergies and simply rubbing your eyes can aggravate and darken the area.

The Rx: You can always use makeup to neutralize dark circles, like Bobbi Brown's Correctors and Concealers, but you can do more to prevent the problem in the first place. Quit rubbing your eyes and be gentle when removing eye makeup (you’re not scrubbing a pot). If you have itchy eyes, use ice or over-the-counter antihistamines (Zyrtec, Claritin) to soothe them. To avoid sun damage, use a hypoallergenic, fragrance free sunblock and wear your favorite sunglasses daily -- even in the winter.
