Decreased humidity in the air can take the moisture right out of your skin. Deodorant and heavily fragranced soaps also strip your skin of its moisture and may cause irritation.
The Rx: Try using a humidifier at night and a fragrance-free cleanser like Aveeno Skin Relief Body Wash. For added moisture, lather on Dove Nutrium or Oil of Olay Unscented Body Wash in the shower. Be sure to lather on a good moisturizer once you get out of the shower, such as Aveeno Eczema Therapy, Cetaphil cream, Burt's Bees Body Butter or Cerave cream.
