Producers Guild Nominees: Which Movies Made the Top 10?

The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo scores a surprising nod -- but which frontrunner got snubbed?

Let the Oscar prognosticating begin! The Producers Guild of America has announced its nominees for best picture of 2011 -- and the top-10 list is usually a pretty good indicator of which movies will feel the love come Oscar time. In fact, last year 9 of the 10 movies to get PGA nominations also scored best-picture Academy Awards nods.

That's a fact that bodes well for somewhat surprising Producers Guild nominees such as The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo, The Ides of March and Bridesmaids. It's also one that could hurt the Oscar chances of divisive awards-season frontrunner The Tree of Life, which didn't earn a spot on the PGA's list.

Less surprising was the guild's inclusion of The Artist, The Descendants, The Help, Hugo, Midnight in Paris, Moneyball and War Horse -- all of which have amassed a boatload of nominations in the year-end awards deluge.

In addition to the best picture nods, the PGA also announced nominations in two other movies categories and six TV categories. You can check out the full list of Producers Guild nominees below!
