Whether it's elaborate, secret or comic, the moment the question is popped is one that no married woman will ever forget. (Plus, it makes for a great story!) Here is this week's Proposal of the Week:

"When our two best friends decided to get married, my (then) boyfriend and I were thrilled to be their Maid of Honor and Best Man. We helped them plan every detail to make their wedding day one they'd never forget, but it turned out to be the best day of MY life, too!
The wedding went off without a hitch and the reception started with a bang. Pretty soon though, it was time for that old, embarrassing tradition: the bride was ready to throw her bouquet. Oh joy! I always hated being cattled out there for the whole world to see you trying to catch this little bundle of flowers. In the past, I'd actually try to dodge them instead, trying to save myself from any more humiliation. This time was different. The bouquet was tossed, and to my amazement, everyone else took a step back. There I was. The only one remotely close enough to catch it.
As I stood there with those flowers in my hand, they went directly the garter toss. I'm sure by now you can guess who caught it, my boyfriend! (Of course at this point I still didn't have any idea of what was about to happen.) When it came time for my boyfriend to put the garter on my leg, they put me in a chair in the middle of the dance floor. As I sat there, he knelt in front of me and took the microphone from the DJ. When he said that he wanted to ask me something first, you could hear a pin drop in the hall. (By then I'd finally started to catch on!) He told me that I was the best thing that ever happened to him and asked me if I'd marry him. I was crying. The guests were crying. And as they started to play our song, I said YES!"
