Remember when I said that 2009 will be a healthy year…and I started with my Shaklee Cinch and Vivix, and Shaklee vitamins, etc.?
Well, it has been five weeks to the day that I quit smoking. I ordered a new pair of New Balance 993 sneakers and vowed that when they arrive I have to start exercising. Well, they came and today was the first day my husband and I worked out! It is at that exciting part and I hope it stays there!!
I have been checking out the exercise videos that Never Say Diet has on the site and I was really impressed with the Sculpting Workout!
I have started many exercise programs in the past and there are many pitfalls that I want to avoid this time round. One thing I realize is that I have to set realistic goals. The best way to start a new program is to start off slow and work your way into it. I know I can’t be as smooth and fast as the girls on the video but at least I can start the program. So I got out my weights and began the process. I did three sets of ten with light weights.
It is always a dilemma to figure out when to exercise. I am so busy with the store that I am always working overtime and don’t have time to pop out to the gym. I bet you are just as busy at your job. So I find that what works for me is to do my exercises in the morning. Today I broke out my exercise mat and started to warm up and began the routine following the video. It was exhausting but exhilarating. I was careful not to overdo it the first time out. Sometimes you start out going full speed and are so sore the next day that you are discouraged from continuing. I want to start out slow and maintain my program so I won’t be tempted to blow it off.
The other problem that I always had while working out is finding something to wear. I was so excited that I got my New Balance 993 sneakers that are the most comfortable work out shoes with the support I need for my poor feet. These sneakers really help with my “Balance” as they help with stability and keep me balanced as I exercise. And they are made in the USA. Just the way I like it.
I also have found a new company that has started a new line of work out clothes in many great colors that rival the big time companies like Nike and Addias but they come in 1x, 2x, 3x and even 4x. And best of all they come at a very reasonable price point! I will keep you posted.
I am excited that I am taking vitamins…I am excited that I quit smoking and taking care of myself and most of all I am excited about the fact that I get to exercise with my husband. He is the center of my universe and yes, corny but, he is my rock!
NeverSayDiet.com is so great. I really got a lot of great tips on exercise which is really not my thing and I will continue to refer to it as I try to keep up with my program.
What’s your exercise program? If you don’t have one do you want to start? But the Real Question: What are you wearing?
