Attention, Hipster Parents: The Skateboard Stroller Is Here

Quinny's new Longboard Stroller is designed for "urban parents." Would you ride one?

You've heard of the running stroller, but how about the skateboarding stroller?

The idea is the brainchild of Dutch stroller company Quinny (the ride Cate Blanchett chose for her kids), who approached Belgian design agency Studio Peter Van Riet to come up with a stroller parents could also ride on, according to The Daily Mail. The result is the Longboardstroller, aka Quinny Jett, a skateboard with a child seat for 9 months to 4.5 years attached to the front. Around eight prototypes are being testing for usability and safety. There's no word on when it might hit the market.

The makers hope it will allow hipster, err, "urban" parents to travel longer distances faster without needing to load kids into the car. It also looks like a sneaky-fun way to get a bit of exercise.
