We die! One of our favorite duos has decided to call it quits. Rachel Zoe's assistant Brad Goreski put in his notice with the celebrity stylist and will no longer work for her, effective this Friday, Oct. 1.
But don't fret, fans of The Rachel Zoe Project! These fashion friends aren't ending on bad terms. "I love Rachel, and she’s taught me everything I know," Goreski, 33, told People Style Watch. "But there's a point where either I do it now or I’ll never know what it’s like to spread my wings and soar. I hope she’ll continue to teach me more and more." (Hmm, does that mean he'll start his own business or even launch his own spin-off show?)
Zoe, 38, who found out the "major" news from Goreski last month respected his choice to move on. "He did this with such class and elegance," she said. "And I get it. I just told him, ‘I’m here for you always."
Of course, parting won't be easy for the close colleagues. "We couldn’t stop hugging and we couldn’t stop crying" when Goreski announced his decision," Zoe said. "We have a relationship that’s not normal. I jump into bed with him and wake him up and we have these pow wows and he’s like, ‘Wow, I haven’t brushed my teeth.'"
Not only will things be different for Zoe and her clients, but for fans of their hit reality show, The Rachel Zoe Project as well. But, while the stylist (and catch-phrase machine!) knows she has to find a replacement, no one can ever really replace Goreski. "I don’t want to hire somebody for the purpose of the show, we just got lucky," Zoe says. "No one’s ever going to be Brad to me."
