Bringing up a toddler isn't for the faint of heart. If you're not defusing a meltdown, you're bracing for a bear hug, coaxing her to the toilet or cleaning up yet another uneaten lunch. Here are 20 things we wish someone had told us about raising a toddler:

They're Obsessed With Their Body Parts (and Yours)
As soon as your wee one learns the names of his head, shoulders, knees and toes (and, um, everywhere in between), naming his parts will become a fun game. He may notice that he has a penis and you, well, don't. He may want to walk around naked, and even touch his genitals during diaper changes. Don't freak out, because that's all totally normal and healthy for this age. Your curious kiddo may even want to tag along and watch when you or your partner go to the bathroom. Let him! It's a great chance for him to see how that whole potty thing works.
