It sounds like it should be the synopsis to a new Randy Quaid movie but, unfortunately, this is real life.
The actor and his wife, Evi, have been arrested in Texas for allegedly failing to pay a $10,000 bill at a hotel in Santa Barbara.
The couple posted $20,000 bail each after a sheriff drove Randy to a bank to get the cash. The felony warrant is for burglary, defrauding an innkeeper and conspiracy.
Hmmm. Makes ya wonder – if they had $40,000 in the bank to pay their bail, they could obviously afford the hotel.
