Ray J Mocks Kim Kardashian on Twitter

The R&B singer, who's famous for his 2003 sex tape with Kim, hints at their shared past when he pokes fun at a tweet from his ex

Ray J, best remembered as "the guy in the 2003 Kim Kardashian sex tape," seems to be a little uneasy with his ex-girlfriend's fame. On Wednesday, the 30-year-old R&B singer made fun of one of Kim's tweets, hinting at their infamous shared past.

First, Kardashian shared some deep thoughts with her 15-million-plus followers. "U wouldn't be who u are today, u wouldn't have the depth, maturity, & the insight were it not for those challenges that forced u to grow," she tweeted, adding, "Keep your life in a positive perspective. We are not defined by our pasts."

Kim's second tweet ("we are not defined by our pasts") is the one that amused Ray J, who retweeted it -- but added an "LOL" for good measure. Classy.

Kim did not respond to Ray J's dig (and they say she isn't smart!). But in a radio interview on Thursday, the singer tried to defend his Twitter joke.

"I felt like it was real, what was said [by Kim], and I kind of laughed about it because it was 100," he told Power106. "You see something and it's 100, and you just be like, 'Ha ha ha, retweet.'"

A self-professed, "big fan of Ye," Ray J also commented on Kim's budding romance with Kanye West.

"I wish 'em the best. Life is a roller-coaster, so you never know what's gonna happen," said Ray J. "But I wish 'em the best, much success to both of 'em."\Well, that was nice of him, anyway -- although he did take another subtle jab at Kardashian, calling her relationship with Kanye "a Magic Mountain experience." This week, Kim posted a picture of herself crying on a Magic Mountain roller coaster, next to a smiling Kanye.

So far, both Kim and Kanye have been pretty good about not taking the bait when people make fun of their romance. On Tuesday, Kim's ex-husband Kris Humphries took a Twitter shot at Kanye, sharing his news about returning to the Nets and quoting Kanye's "Way Too Cold" lyric ("'lucky I didn't have Jay drop me from the team,' lol!") In fairness, West started that one himself. But Kanye isn't exactly known for keeping his thoughts to himself, and has overshared on Twitter with the best of them. How many digs against Kim will he tolerate before he snaps and tells somebody off?
