There’s more Housewives drama coming in 2010 from the folks at Bravo.
The network announced that it has ordered a second season of The Real Housewives of New Jersey and will premiere The Real Housewives of D.C. in 2010.
According to the Hollywood Reporter, Lisa Wernick Spies, wife of Republican fundraiser Charlie Spies, and Lynda Erkiletian, president of a Washington modeling agency, are two of the possible choices for the show, though Bravo hasn't confirmed the castings.
The Real Housewives of New Jersey is currently the highest-rated show to date for the franchise, averaging 2.6 million viewers earlier this summer.
The addition of D.C. marks the fifth series (New Jersey, Atlanta, Orange County, New York City) of the Housewives franchise.
Of the five franchises, D.C. could be the most interesting depending on who is cast for the show. Could you imagine the tension if they had housewives representing both the Republican and Democratic parties?
Hopefully they will be immune from the money problems and evictions other housewives have encountered after appearing on the show.
Also announced were a seventh season of Top Chef and a Nov. 16 premiere date of Chef Academy, a reality series following French chef Jean Christophe Novelli as he opens a cooking school in the United States.
