The housewives are back in the city, which is probably a good thing since this show is called The Real Housewives of NYC, and not The Real Housewives of the Hamptons.
In the beginning of tonight's episode Jill takes her daughter shopping for school clothing. This then turns into a shopping spree for that night's Seventeen party, and the mother daughter duo begin to fight over why they're in the fancy shmancy store -- for school clothing or party dresses. How can Jill actually get mad? She took her daughter to a high end store for school shopping! Of course then Jill says, "She got whatever she wanted that day. I got tired." Great way to teach your daughter!
Oh wait, Jill later says, "I don't think it's a classy thing to talk about money." Really? Then why are you on this show?
Next, who doesn't get a kick out of Alex and her fashion junkie husband? Bethenny apparently invited Alex to a designer's show, which meant that Alex's hubby had to tag along…we know how much he loves fashion! Back to that in a minute, as the promos let us know that Bethenny is going to have a field day with it.
Anyone else get a kick out of Ramona's daughter as she spoke about studying hard so she can go to a good college, get a good job and make a lot of money? It's surprising her mother taught her anything about finances, since it seems her daughter's usually more of an adult than she is.
Okay back to Bethenny and Ramona. Anyone else notice who the hair stylist was? Brandon from season 1 of Bravo's Blow Out. He got fired for not being the best employee, but recently I saw him pop up on TLC's LA Ink and now he's back on Bravo as the hair stylist for the Pamella Roland show. Someone likes their reality TV…
Bethenny is by far my favorite one on this show, especially for conversations like this:
Alex: "I'm just getting a text from my husband on whether he should wear dark or light boots."
Bethenny: "Oh my god. Tell him he's in the midst of a deep homosexual panic."
The husband's interview response? "Just because I like clothes, it doesn't make me gay."
Discuss amongst yourselves in the comments section!
P.S. Bethenny referred to Alex and husband as co-dependent. I'm guessing she doesn't care if they stay friends after the show… you know once Alex actually watches the episode and hears her say that. Whoops.
All righty now we're at scary mom time: Ramona takes Avery to an agent to pursue acting. As we typically see in these situations, Avery looked like she'd rather take a nap than go to the meeting. Then after Avery completed her auditioning, the agent asked how her school would handle it. Ramona said school would be fine with it, but Avery was not having it. She didn't want to have to make up work or miss out on tests, etc. The poor girl looked like she was going to cry. I feel bad for her!
Did anyone notice how Ramona and husband Mario spoke about Avery and her auditions versus school situation while Avery was sitting right behind them? That's a bit strange.
I am in love with Jill's mother who came to visit from Florida. She couldn't stand the smell of Jill's shampoo and her motherly nagging was hilarious. It continued throughout Jill's dress shopping as apparently, Jill's mother knows best!
Later, Luann and Ramona meet up at a fashion show - their first time seeing each other since the brutal tennis match last week. Ramona starts to make fun of models, not realizing that the fashion models are standing right next her. Then she finds out that Luann used to model in the past. Way to offend everyone, Ramona. Even Luann admitted she was embarrassed by Ramona's behavior. You're not the only one!
Ramona then continued the drama when she got a front row seat at the Luca Luca fashion show and Jill was seated behind her. Jill was sooo not okay with having to sit behind her enemy Ramona, so she got up and walked out. Granted this wasn't Ramona's fault, but it's fun to blame her for it!
That ends this week's episode. Next week: Luann's kids get lice, Jill says Alex's kids are going to "get their asses kicked" in school because of their names, and Bethenny tries to convince her boyfriend that they should live together. Drama!
