A Blind Date Success Story
I recently got set up with a new guy and clicked instantly with him. We had so much in common and talked for hours. The very next day he sent me a silver chain with a "Someone Special" charm. I had mentioned I loved silver jewelry, but never expected such a special gift. We are still dating, and I couldn't be happier.

An Anniversary Surprise
My husband is thoughtful, but not what you call romantic. So after 12 years of marriage, you can imagine how surprised I was to get a handmade music box for our anniversary. It was made out of oak, my favorite wood. He had carved his initials and the date we were married on the bottom. It played "The Rose," the song we sang together at our wedding. As if that weren't enough, he added a dozen roses to the gift.

He Gave Me the Perfect Woman
One of the most romantic things my significant other did for me was giving me a Barbie doll for my 37th birthday. This might sound corny, but he knew I collected them. Plus, he got really creative. The doll he picked out -- Picture Pockets Barbie -- has a dress with little pockets that you can hide photos in. He filled them with mini-pictures of him and me together. This personalized gift was too cute, and since he is an analytical type (a chemistry professor), the creativity blew me away!

The Single Mom's Dream Date
When I met my husband, I was a single parent with two daughters, running my own business, working long hours to cover all our bills, plus I helped out in my community. So I'd have to say the most romantic thing he ever did was not glamorous. It was when he took out the trash the first time he visited my home -- without me even asking! Who needs candy or flowers? This one little gesture showed me he cared about the important things in life -- my children and my home.
