It’s easy to forget who we used to be before work, family and other commitments took priority over our needs. “Ask yourself what were the activities you loved when you were younger, in college or first married?” says Gannon. “You’re still the same person.” Go out dancing; read poetry or an escapist novel. Get tickets to a comedy club; go see a concert; or pop some corn and cue up a movie marathon. The only rule is if it makes you happy, then go for it.
