3 Things We Love About Reese Witherspoon's Baby's Name (and One We Don't!)

Oh, boy! Reese Witherspoon gave birth to her third child today -- a boy -- and his name is Tennessee James.

We're not surprised that Reese and hubby Jim Toth came up with an unusual name for their little guy -- but we're just a little disappointed by their choice. After all, Tennessee, which is where Reese grew up, seems just a little obvious compared to the understated-cool names of her other kids, Ava and Deacon.

Still, we love a middle name that honors the proud papa, and the name choice is of the moment on two fronts: First, Tennessee James sounds like a cowboy name -- a trend that celebrities like Jenna Fischer and Eric Church have embraced for their kids' names (Weston and Boone, respectively).

Second, it's a location name -- a trend favored by Jillian Michaels, who named her son Phoenix, Chris Hemsworth, whose daughter is named India, and Kourtney Kardashian, whose girl is Penelope Scotland Disick.

There may even be an alliterative trend, too: Other celeb babies with same-initial names like Tennessee Toth include Kate Hudson's Bingham Bellamy and Bill Hader's Harper Hader. So welcome, little guy -- we look forward to hearing about your nicknames.
